In Alabama, culinary arts are a tradition
Few states have a culinary tradition as strong as Alabama, culinary arts. In large part, this is the result of Southerners love of good food and tradition dictate recipes from parents to children. With a long tradition of rich food and spectacular southern regional recipes, food heritage of Alabama, is well known. This is not surprising that led to renowned specialists in the region as Frank Stitt, owner of Bottega, Chez FONFONE and Highlands Bar and Grill, and renowned chef George Panayiotou.
For Alabama residents with a love of cooking into their hearts, there are many ways to pursue a career in the kitchen. Because there are many family owned restaurants specializing in local cuisine and traditional recipes, some aspiring chefs apprentice themselves well known restaurants. Courses include food sciences, management of hospitality services, food and nutrition studies, and even the preparation of pastry
Class Selection focusing on a variety of regional and ethnic cuisines
Today there are many culinary arts schools in the south that will give you a good rounded education. Be sure to see a number of cooking schools in your area and choose what is best for you and your dream of a career in culinary arts of Alabama.
